The breed known as a Shorthair is one of the most classical and iconic cats; along with being renowned for one of the most friendlist faces! Though simplicitic looking, these Shorthairs are anything but!
| Place of Origin | Depending on which type of Shorthair; its place of origin can vary. This spans from America, to the UK, to even Brazillian related origins! American Shorthairs in specific date as far back as the Mayflower being still at sea, as Shorthairs were used to guard the ship in case of mice or other small rodents. |

| Common Size & Weight | Shorthairs depending on their gender tend to weigh differently. Male Shorthairs typically are around 11-15 lbs or 4-6 kgs. While females on the other hand 6-12 lbs, or 2-5 kgs. Shorthairs also have a height of 8-10 inches, with a length of 12-15 inches. |
| Temperament | Shorthairs tend to be ones that are a bit on the shy side when they start out with people, but given time and patience they can be one of the most calming and loving breeds out there. They're a very good choice for a companion that's loyal and always there when you need something to hug.
