Ragdoll
A surpsingly social breed of cat and a calm one at that, Ragdolls are seen as the most "dog-like" cat to most pet owners! Though their coats can be just like a dogs too: lots of fur everywhere.
Place of Origin | Originating from Riverside California, the Ragdoll was a popular breed during the early 1960 in America. While also eventually being transferred over to the UK, where the breed was thus established outside of the United States. |

Common Size & Weight | Male Ragdoll cats typically weigh around 10 to 20 lbs, or 4 to 9 kgs. While females weigh 10 to 15 or 4 to 6 kgs. Both end up around 17-21 inches in length and 9-11 inches in height. |
Temperament | As stated earlier, Ragdolls are stated as being very "dog-like" in the sense of temperment. They tend to be surprisingly active cats, and love to play with their owners. Playing with this cat or having it get a play mate is the true key to this breed. This cat just loves to meet and greet new friends and also stay loyal to its owner to a loving amount. |
